Designing a digital creative workspace

Bluescape is a cloud-based collaboration platform that enables real-time interaction, creation, and sharing of content for individuals and teams.

Working on the incubation of Bluescape was an unforgettable experience. I worked closely with design heavy-weight and frequent collaborator Ammon Haggerty, expert developers Navid Khalili and Jason Hickner, and the team at Obscura Digital, to build a proof of concept prototype that brought the vision of a collaborative computing platform to life. Our prototype successfully demonstrated the viability of a highly scalable, multi-user digital workspace, leading to successful investment and the launch of Bluescape.

Concepting

One of the challenging aspects of this project was developing a system for intuitive user interaction that would work on a 20' wide by 7' high video wall. We developed a set of gesture based interactions to bring up tools and manage the environment.
